THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE MENTORING PROGRAM ON THE CHARACTER BUILDING OF FEMALE STUDENTS AT SMAN 1 TAMANSARI BOGOR

This research aims to determine the results of the mentoring program in shaping the character of female students at SMAN 1 Tamansari after carrying out mentoring activities. This research is a type of qualitative research using observation and interview methods. Data collection techniques used observation and documentation to obtain data about the mentoring program (X) and interviews to obtain the character formation of female students (Y). The results of this research show that: 1) The implementation of the mentoring program at SMAN 1 Tamansari is carried out routinely once a week every Friday from 11.30 until the end of Friday prayers at the mosque. 2) There are five characteristics in the character-building process in mentoring activities: increased understanding of Islam, increased ability to mentor participants to read the Qur'an, responsibility, and discipline seen from everyday life, and reminding each other of kindness. 3) This mentoring program is quite effective, reaching a percentage of around 45% in shaping the character of female students based on interview results. It is hoped that the implementation of this mentoring program can be an example for other schools in shaping the character of students.
