Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that the implementation of the habit of memorizing the Al-Qur'an at SD Alam Ciomas Bogor is not easy, that hinder it both in terms of infrastructure, learning systems, student motivation and student discipline. This research aims to determine the correlation between the ability to memorize the Al-Qur'an and the discipline of students at SD Alam Ciomas Bogor for the 2022/2023 academic year. The research method used in this research is a quantitative method, therefore data collection techniques use observation, questionnaires and documentation. With a population of 69 respondents. Sampling used the Simple Random Sampling technique with a constellation model of the correlation between X and Y. Data collection was carried out using a non-test instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Based on the calculation of the product moment correlation test, the correlation coefficient rxy = 0.253 and the t-test is obtained from tcount > ttable, (4.528 > 3.980) at a significance level of 5%, indicating that the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected, which means there is a significant correlation. between the ability to memorize the Al-Qur'an and students' discipline with a low degree of correlation. The calculation of the coefficient of determination is 5%, meaning that students' discipline is influenced by their ability to memorize the Al-Qur'an by 5% and the remaining 95% is determined by other factors.
