Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Hidayah: Journal of Islamic Economics undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of the published articles.
The peer review process consists of the following stages:

Initial Submission Review
The editorial team conducts an initial evaluation of the submitted manuscript to assess its suitability with the journal’s focus and scope, formatting guidelines, and basic academic quality. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal requirements may be rejected or returned to authors for revision before proceeding to the next stage. -
Plagiarism Screening
All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software to ensure originality. Manuscripts with significant similarity or plagiarism issues will be rejected. -
Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers through a double-blind review process, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodology, significance, clarity, and contribution to the field of Islamic economics. -
Review Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:-
Accepted without revision

Revision Process
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ and editors’ comments within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by reviewers if necessary. -
Final Decision and Publication
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding publication based on the reviewers’ evaluations and the quality of the revised manuscript. Accepted manuscripts will proceed to copyediting, proofreading, and publication.
