Plagiarism Policy

Ihyaul Insan: Journal of Communication Studies (JII) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. Therefore, all forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, are strictly prohibited.

Every manuscript submitted to the journal is screened using Turnitin before entering the peer review process. The similarity check is conducted to identify potential overlap with previously published works and to ensure the originality of the submitted manuscript. The Editorial Team evaluates the similarity report carefully, considering not only the percentage of similarity but also the context and nature of the matched text.

Based on the results of the plagiarism screening, the Editorial Board may take one or more of the following actions:

  1. Proceed to the review process, if the similarity level is considered acceptable and no evidence of plagiarism is identified.
  2. Request revision, if the manuscript contains excessive textual overlap that can be corrected through proper citation, quotation, or paraphrasing.
  3. Reject the manuscript, if substantial plagiarism, duplicate publication, or other forms of academic misconduct are identified.
  4. Withdraw an accepted or published article, if plagiarism is discovered after acceptance or publication. In such cases, the journal reserves the right to issue a correction, retraction, or other appropriate editorial action in accordance with international publication ethics.

Authors are solely responsible for ensuring that the submitted manuscript is original, properly cites all sources, and has not been published or submitted simultaneously to another journal. By submitting a manuscript to JII, authors confirm that their work complies with the journal's ethical standards and international best practices in scholarly publishing.
