Publication Ethics

Ihyaul Insan: Journal of Communication Studies is committed to upholding academic integrity and implementing best practices in scholarly publishing. All parties involved in the publication process editors, authors, and reviewers are expected to adhere to the principles of honesty, objectivity, transparency, confidentiality, and accountability. Every submitted manuscript undergoes a rigorous and fair peer-review process and originality screening to prevent plagiarism and other forms of publication misconduct. The use of artificial intelligence tools in manuscript preparation must be disclosed transparently and does not replace the intellectual responsibility of the authors. By adhering to internationally recognized principles of publication ethics, the journal strives to serve as a trusted platform for advancing communication scholarship that is humanistic, ethical, and beneficial to society.

DUTIES OF EDITORS
Editors are responsible for ensuring that all manuscripts are handled fairly, objectively, and confidentially through an independent peer-review process. Publication decisions shall be based solely on the scholarly merit, originality, relevance, and contribution of the manuscript to the advancement of communication studies. Editors must avoid conflicts of interest, safeguard the integrity of the editorial process, and address allegations of ethical misconduct promptly, transparently, and impartially.

DUTIES OF AUTHORS
Authors are required to present their research honestly, accurately, and originally, and to provide appropriate acknowledgment of the work of others through proper citation. They must ensure that the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere or previously published, disclose any conflicts of interest and sources of funding, and obtain the consent of all contributors prior to submission. The use of artificial intelligence tools, where applicable, must be clearly disclosed and may not replace the authors’ scholarly responsibility.

DUTIES OF REVIEWERS
Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations based on their academic expertise. They must maintain the confidentiality of all information contained in the manuscript, identify relevant works that have not been cited, and disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could affect their judgment. Reviewers’ comments should aim to enhance the scientific quality and clarity of the manuscript in a professional and ethical manner.
